This was a great week for training!  This was the first time I pressed 700lbs in training and it felt great.  Possibly enough strength to have pressed out 15-20 more pounds.

I have to stress that bench pressing 4x per week has its challenges.  One is recovery.  This week really beat me down.  It is hard enough to bench 4x per week, but it is really hard to push the raw bench up after my Monday being so CNS intensive, so instead, I’ve been choosing to do more maintenance raw work that will likely bleed into next week.

Here is how the week went:

Monday:
Equipped Bench Press
640 x1 @8
670 x1 @9
700 x1 @10, FIRST TIME EVER AND IT WAS GREAT!  There was a bit more in me too!

2 Board Press
700 x3

1 Board Press
670 x3

Pulldowns
170 x4x15 very strict

Tuesday:
Really Close Grip Bench Press
320 x3x10 @8

ABS/Grip/Rotators

Walk x1 Hour

Thursday:
Wide Grip Bench Press
410 x5x2

Pulldowns x4x15

Friday:
Close Grip Bench Press
385 x5x3

Squat
275 x10 @7

ABS/Grip/Rotators

Saturday:
Bike Riding x30min

TOTAL HITS [105]
