See below for Brad Gillingham’s Hinge-Like Deadlift sequence.  After the competition we asked Brad about how he explained his deadlift execution.  He explained it as imagining his body acting as a hinge during all big pulls.  Although he is pushing into the floor as he routinely picks up 800+ lb deadlifts, he is actively trying to straighten the hinge he has created in his hips and knees.  His knees and hips straighten together at the exact same time.  I wish we had this sequence from the side, but we at least have it from the front.  I hope you enjoy and learn from the pictures.
