Down to the Wire

November 9 is one week away and God Willing this time next week I will have qualified for the Ohio Invitational at the Arnold Classic 2014. Training has been good, the biggest mistake I made during this cycle was too many hanging band sessions for bench and not enough rack pull sessions for my deadlift. I’m looking forward to getting back on the platform....

Road to the Arnold

With four weeks before the USAPL Ohio State Championships, training has been intense. I have a chip on my shoulder for this meet because a year ago from this meet I injured my shoulder. That injury humbled me and taught me alot about understanding what my goals should be for different meets. Long story short I tried to open up with a big number and do something...

Back on the training grind.

I’ve taken eight days off for various reasons, mainly for the rest and I’ve started back on the training grind. Besides my bench press training, I’ve started my deadlift training to compete in the USAPL Ohio State Championships November 9th. I am no longer going to Reno, Nevada to compete in WABDL Worlds due to tight finances at this time....

Post Bench Nationals

It’s been about a week and a half since I took my first national championship at the USAPL Bench Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia. I am on to the next conquest but I am still thankful and blessed for where I am at in life. I want to thank God for giving me the patience and resolve to come back from a shoulder injury in November 2012. Next it was a pleasure...

Last 2 training sessions before WABDL meet

I decided for the last two bench training sessions, I wanted to see the lightest I could touch in my Super Kitana. For this 07/20 meet I want to get something on the board to break the state record and get┬áthree more┬átries to see what I can do. After the meet I’m sending my Super Kitana in to Ken Anderson to get sized down and still have ample time to get...

Back/Biceps & Chest/Triceps

I consider myself a very humble person and I dont boast about my workouts but Wednesday and Thursday were my first workouts being 36 years old. Plus they have been some of my best workouts since injuring my shoulder in November. I decided to enter a bench only meet on June 1st to assess where I am at so I figured I would post my workouts from these past two...
