My training is coming along pretty good. I still have so much learn when it comes to single ply benching but considering it is only third time in a shirt I will take my progress. This week I worked down to a 2 board and was doing sets of 2 reps instead of singles. Here is what my workout looked like:

Raw work up to 405

405×2(4 board)
405×2(3 board)
455×2(3 board)
495×2(3 board)
495×2(3 board)
495×2(2 board)
495×2(2 board)

Working the 3 and 4 boards I felt really good and comfortable but working to the 2 board was a bit of a challenge. It was odd because I can raw bench 495 pretty easy and with the shirt it felt harder. But on my last set I had side spotters and they noticed what I was doing wrong. I was getting forearms to go way forward and get out of line with my elbows so at the bottom it left my shoulders in a very awkward position and I was getting little to nothing out of my shirt and already in bad position so that is why it felt heavier. I think when the shirt started to lock up on me and I felt the pressure instead of coming straight down and letting the shirt do the work I pulled the bar down further to my stomach, putting myself in a bad position.

Next week I am going to video my lifts so I can see what I am doing wrong and I am pretty sure that will help me improve my technique.
