Dana’s Training Log, July 9, 2012

Had sent my custom shirt back to Anderson Powerlifting and was had to change shirts this week.

Equipped Bench – 46 Super Katana (very old)

400 x 1, 425 x 1, 450 x1 (almost touched), 470 x 9/1os (touched and just barely missed locking it out)

2 Board – same shirt on

455 x 2 (wanted 3)

1 Board – changed into stock Rage X 48 (fit well)

425 x3 (easily)

To Chest

450 x 1 (no belt) fairly easy

Comments: Brady helped me with the concept of getting my lats tucked under me onĀ  the set up, which I only did with the last set at 450. Made huge difference and need to work on this technique.

Changing technique can make bench like night and day. It is amazing all the little things that can have major impacts.

      Nick,
Agreed. Glad I have Brady to help with my technique. May be the only way I lift bigger weights.

Good to see you as a contributor to the site.

    Kevin,
Thanks for taking a look. Brady will get me strong or my shoulder will divorce my body! Seriously, the single rep approach is completely new for me and I feel like I’m tolerating it better. Sounds a little like the Strong Man trainning you do.

Best of luck with your new gym. Wish it were closer.

    Dana
