Ladies love him.

Put a bench shirt on today and did what I could tolerate…  Didn’t want to aggravate the surgery site.  Nothing too impressive, but post surgery progress nonetheless.  I am cleared to bench press, just can’t squat or deadlift for a while.  If you are curious to know what I went through, listen to Berserker Strength Radio Adventure #5.  Being out for a long length of time really helped get me focused on training again.  I want it more than ever now.

Decided on the following:

EQ Bench Press
x1 – about 1/2 inch from chest
x1 – about 1/2 inch from chest
x1 – to a two board
x1 – about 1/2 inch from chest
x1 – about 1/2 inch from chest

Pulldowns x4x12
Flyes x2x12
Pushdowns x3x15
Shoulder Horn x2x25-30

Overall it wasn’t a bad training session.  In fact it was a good reintroduction to equipped bench pressing.  I am excited for next week to see how it goes.  I will continue doing the singles.  In fact I may just stick to full range singles for the next couple weeks.  Since I had to pull myself out of the Arnold Classic, I may do a local state meet in St. Louis.

The very intelligent and ‘always-on-the-go’ Howard Penrose may come and visit the BWC on thursday.  It’ll be cool to meet him and see what kinds of things he is up to.  We may also have another athlete to add to the Iron Authority roster if all goes well.
