4/1/13 April fool’s day. So this is how the story goes. I went to bed at 4 am not to mention my hamstrings were still killing me from Friday and my back was super stiff. When I got up I thought to myself “this is going to be a bad day”. Everything I did was slow. I was dragging my feet all morning. I was strongly considering training the next day. So what did I do? I got my ass up and went to Smash some weights! Every day is not going to be perfect. In fact, most days aren’t. We may have good days or even a stretch of good weeks but for those of us that don’t have the genetic makeup of the HULK,  a perfect day is rare. I am a true believer in making my training way harder than a meet. This way when everyone else is dead by the time deadlifts come around, I am still going strong. I have been to meets that were over 12 hrs long and I wasn’t tired at all. So I decided to play it by feel with my record in mind. If I wasn’t feeling it, I would back off. If I was, then IT’S BALLS TO THE WALL!

  3. 515X5 @9 *Wanted  520 but didn’t want to push it. Staying @9 was the right choice. Nerve pain was pretty bad by now, but better than last week.

FRONT SQUATS LB (LB= LOOSE BELT)

  3. 245X5 * I SUCK AT FRONT SQUATS!

LEG PRESS

  1. 670X10
  2. 800X10
  3. 900X10 *** I Love leg press. I think they are great for building a tremendous  amount of power in your squat where most people get stuck, a  few inches out of the hole. You have to go all the way down! Don’t be that guy doing 30000000 lbs for 25 reps moving it 2 inches. Get your knees in your armpits! Try to mimic how far down you go in the squat.

 

LEG EXT

  4. Drop set 210×15

GHR

  1. BWx10
  2. 45×10
  3. 70 2×10
  4. Drop set 10 x15

CABLE ABS

  1. 360 3X10
  2. Drop set 270 x25

light cardio

Jog for 15 min up  a hill. Remember I was exhausted to begin with.
