So I wanted to follow up with everything to let you all know how juicing is going. I have not done the 3 day detox because I have not had the time nor been off work enough lately to do so. But I have been drinking juicing and having at least 16 oz of fresh juice almost every day. And to be honest I have both enjoyed the process and have seen results. The main one is that in the past 2 weeks or so I have lost almost 10 pounds. I do not have the bloated feeling in the stomach. I have changed my diet slightly; still have cheat meals and that damn sweet tooth; and seen results. My energy levels are good and my strength has not suffered at all, actually I feel stronger. My last training day I had my eggs and some energy juice; oranges, pineapple, apple, and ginger. I then added some water and creatine to the juice and used it as a pre/during workout drink. I felt stronger as my workout went on. I pulled 475 for 4 reps at a 8.5-9 rpe. Before doing this weight for reps was easily a 9+ some days. I did floor presses with 275 just slightly below a 9rpe, which is a 50 pound jump from just last week. I jumped my speed squats up to 315 and blasted through those.

If you can’t tell I am noticing a difference in my training and how I feel overall. my weight is going down, my strength is on the rise and overall I feel great. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you can find a masticating juicer from a family member or cheap online.

  1. That Pre workout sounds like an awesome idea. I wouldn’t mind giving this a shot. Can you post the recipe up?

    • So I used an orange, fuji apple, pineapple, and a piece of ginger. It gave me a good amount of energy before my workout plus I felt it help me recover faster in between sets. I had some creatine to it so I could get it in during my workout. Its worth a shot if you can find a juicer to borrow.
