After taking one week off from the American Open I was back at the gym last night. Even though I did not go to the gym I still had a very exciting week as far as powerlifting goes. Titan Support Systems is now my newest sponsor and I am beyond excited. This drives me to even a new level of determination and excitement to do my best at the SSP Nutrition Raw Bench Challenge at the 2014 Arnold Sports Festival.

 

Instead of taking off until the New Year and lose all my gains I just worked for I decided to do a little pre cycle training program. This is something I have never done before, usually after a meet I take at least a month off but this is different, this is getting ready for one of the biggest powerlifting stages there is so time off was not an option.

 

I decided to officially start my training cycle January 6, 2014. So for the next 3 weeks I am going to be working somewhat heavy and my goal on January 6 is to hit the weight I missed at the American Open, 550lbs.

 

Last night was my first workout and it went really well. So here it goes:

 

Flat Bench:

45×50

135×20

225×10

315×5

405×1

455×5

455×5

465×3(all paused reps)

 

Close grip to a 3 board

465x3x3

 

Fly’s

3×25

 

Reverse one arm pull downs superset with rope pull downs:

3×10 for each exercise

 

Single Arm Incline Dumbbell press

3×10
