I say that like I’m upset about it – I’m not!!  I’ve just been terribly busy!!

Does anybody else feel like their swamped with summer activities, having no free weekends, and constantly on the run while the weather is nice??  That’s how we’ve been – all while also working on our new home.  It’s been crazy.  Sorry I haven’t been on here for your reading enjoyment!

On the bright side, I’ve been training a lot and eating even more.. I’m still working on upping my calorie intake – I’m back down to around 1300-1400 calories.  I feel like my body just doesn’t want to take in more, but I know it just takes time.  I got back on to tracking my meals using Lose It! and that has helped a lot, but I also have a tendency to get lazy with it.  I put it off or don’t do it at all due to a busy weekend or whatever.  Here is a picture of what my macros currently look like – if you’re at all curious.  I need to get these numbers up!  But this was a great day with hitting my numbers spot on!

I believe the last blog I wrote was about tracking – and I do love to do it and it does give me a freedom to know exactly where I am and what goodies I can allow myself.  I did want to mention though that because I am not in a competition prep – I’m pretty lenient with myself – and… wait for it.. IT’S OK!!  You can have a bite of this or that or even whole meals/days that you don’t track – and I can promise you it’s not going to ruin your goals.  You just have to be realistic and HONEST with yourself about those goals truly are, the time frame you want to achieve those goals in, and how committed you are to them.  And guess what?!  If you aren’t dying to be a competitor or  you are thinking “Abby, I just want to lose 10lbs!” – that’s great.  The same rules apply and tracking can help get you there (while still being able to enjoy ice cream and pizza every now and again).

Anyway, I just wanted to check in.  I’m working on tracking and goal making currently too – and trying to be honest with myself about how committed I am to those goals.
