Volucity? Volutensity? HVHI?

Volucity? Volutensity? HVHI?

May 13, 2013

So I don’t have the name locked down but I think you understand what I am getting at. If not this is the post that will explain my training cycle leading up my vacation. I little back ground to help with understand why and how I came to this decision. I will be leaving to travel to Europe for a much needed vacation starting the end of May for about 2 1/2 weeks. During this time I will not be training; I will be walking a lot as well as I plan to do air squats and push ups to keep the movements as second nature. Yes this trip will pause my training for Raw Nationals. So in the weeks leading up to this trip I wanted to get in as much work as possible. I wanted to push myself to the brink and train as hard as possible. So I came up with Volucity/Volutensity/HVHI training cycle.

But what is it? It is a High Volume High Intensity training cycle. And to be honest I will not be breaking out any crazy exercises or much assistance work. I am going back to the very basics of the bar and plates. Below you will find my outline for this cycle.

Day 1-

Squat 6×6 @9

Bench 4×4 @9

Deadlift 4×4 @9

Abs 50 reps total

Day 2-

Bench 6×6 @9

Deadlift 4×4 @9

Squat 4×4 @9

Lats 50 reps total

Day 3-

Deadlift 6×6 @9

Squat 4×4 @9

Bench 4×4 @9

Good Mornings 50 reps total

Repeat, and repeat, and repeat. Throw in some cardio, stretching, rolling, salt baths, and juicing.

Is it going to be hard? Yes! Its going to kick my ass both physically and mentally. But it is going to prepare me for Nationals after my vacation.

Please feel free to add your comments and I will follow up with my progress.
